Our Mission

The Amicable Society’s School sets out to provide financial support to voluntary aided schools in the London parish of Rotherhithe. We aim to help those schools provide benefits which they may be unable to fund from their budgets, and to promote the education of children in Rotherhithe schools who need financial assistance. We provide grants to schools that help with training, maintenance of property, and school outings. We also make grants to pupils to allow them to buy books and equipment needed for their education. At the Amicable Society’s School we hope to provide the best opportunities possible for education in Rotherhithe, ensuring that every child is allowed the opportunity to learn.
